Mill Valley Shingle Style

PROJECT
Perched on a hill in Mill Valley, California, this lovely Shingle style home was showing signs of age with cracked and faded shingles and a leaking front porch. While the views were stunning from the entryway, visitors standing 30 feet down on the road could not distinguish the obscured front door from a pair of full height windows to the lower level family room. The robust new staircase and railing leading guests to the front porch created the missing entry sequence. A new façade, fabric awnings and entry door brought the home back to its former glory.
