In a sunny, warm corner of San Francisco, a young couple finally nabbed their dream home. The older cottage was in need of significant work, and the couple soon realized that its size would not meet the needs of their growing family. The pivotal decision was to add a second floor with large expanses of glass that would capture stunning views and become the dream open living and entertaining space for the family. The earth under the cottage was excavated to add a habitable basement and media room.
