PROJECT
In the competitive Bay Area real estate market, a family relocating from out of state ended up with an older Tudor home when what they really wanted was a home with a more modern design. The saving grace was that the property had stunning views to the Golden Gate Bridge, which the existing home did not take advantage of. A renovation that took the existing structure down to the studs simplified the plan and façade. Family gathering space was positioned along the back of the home with large expanses of glass looking out to the Bay.
